For over ten years Earth Shots has celebrated the beauty and diversity of our planet by featuring the best wildlife, landscape and travel photography on the web. Since its inception, Earth Shots was run as a “passion project”, generating enough revenue to cover its costs but little more. At the end of February 2017, the server hosting Earth Shots became corrupted and getting the website up and running again was going to be a difficult task. My focus is currently on other projects and so it is with regret that I have decided to shut down the photo of the day contest for the foreseeable future. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who contributed to Earth Shots over the years and was a part of our wonderful community.
